Alexandra King laid there in a hospital bed wondering whether the doctors were right.  Would she ever walk again?  Would she be able to perform again?  Alexandra’s spinal cord injury was quite serious, and it was impossible to predict these outcomes.

Before the accident, Alexandra had spent her whole life behind a microphone, performing at pubs across New York and Ireland. Although she was in the midst of law school, it was music that gave her hope during her recovery, and it was through pure determination and care that she was able to walk and use her once-paralyzed right side again.  These days Alexandra calls Nashville home, after leaving New York a barred attorney, she left with a firm commitment to her songwriting, collaboration, and deep desire not to let her second chance go to waste.

In a town full of aspiring songwriters and performers, Alexandra King’s Irish heritage and family roots in music help her stand out.  This spirit and her raw, emotional, and honest storytelling are conveyed beautifully by her soulful vocals.  With her journey beginning anew, Alexandra aims to connect with audiences by sharing her experiences of perseverance and the power of music to heal.
